Are free ebooks worthless?
I guess the answer is ‘it depends’ The Internet is absolutely awash with worthless junk and some of it isn’t even free. What I’m presenting to you today are three books that you could get your hands on right now for absolutely nothing. More importantly, if you actually take the time to read and apply the principals outlined in these books you will be well on your way to building a successful Internet business.
1. Creating Fat Affiliate Sites Andy Williams
Fellow Brit Andy has put this book together and discusses the best way of developing sites that are going to stand the test of time when it comes to the search engines. It’s a 172 pages and is written in Andy’s very professional style. I’ve been a subscriber to his newsletter for about 3 years and it never ceases to amaze me how much time Andy puts into his writing (unlike lazy so-and-so’s like me who use Camtasia!)
The catch: Andy is hoping you’ll join his newsletter so he can send you even more great info. Sounds fair, doesn’t it?

2. AdWords Made Easy Brad Callan
AdWords is my speciality and I’ve read a number of books on this. Brad has now produced this book that will guide you through the entire AdWords process from performing market research to creating profitable ad campaigns.
The catch: Brad is hoping you’re going to take the bait and buy his excellent Keyword Elite software. I own it and would recommend it however the book also covers some alternative methods to getting the same results. It’s worth reading if only to get basic principals of using AdWords understood.

3. The Internet Business Manifesto Rich Schefren
This is only 33 pages but managed to make me feel very uncomfortable more than once! This is an outline of why a lot of people struggle with their Internet business and gives some sound advice as to what to do to overcome it. Certainly a book you want to read more than once. Once you download, you’ll also be sent the ‘missing chapter’. This is another 34 pages of excellent information. Rocket science? No, but there again, this isn’t!
The catch: Rich is planning an elite coaching course in the future but I suspect this will be for just a handful of people. The books aren’t really promoting this though and I think this is more a case of some solid PR on his part and a genuine desire to dispel some myths.
