Repeat After Me : Focus, Focus, Focus!

Filed under: General; Author: Adrian; Posted: January 20, 2005 at 1:49 pm;

I’m really struggling at the moment with managing my time. My mind is buzzing with loads of ideas, there’s a queue of emails to be read, routine jobs to be done and not a day goes by when the next big things comes my way and I feel duty bound to explore.

My latest ‘curve ball’ was the change of policy by Google regarding AdWords. Undoubtably it’s a good thing for all concerned but I’m still not clear which way to go with my own campaigns. I’m still getting traffic to my direct merchant URL but I feel I should direct to one of my purpose built sites to maximise the benefits. What to do? Should I experiment? Um….

I’ve also just launched my new business - Bold Internet - which is really just a way of taking my search knowledge and making it available to UK companies. Of course, I have things to do such as establish links with other sites, set up an AdWords campaign, build new pages for the web site and ‘think about’ off-line marketing and promotion.

On top of all of this, there’s an absolute ton of stuff (good stuff) that I need to read and/or listen to. Ah, to have the time to sit and do nothing.

Who says internet marketing is easy? One day, I’ll get focussed (I always thought I was!) and then I’ll be dangerous!!

    Dear Adrian,

I see you are busy, busy, busy and trying to somehow put all your ideas and internet
resources into a single brilliant idea. Well my friend, that is the way to go.

The important thing is to sit down and really work out what people want, don’t forget
everybody have different needs and believe or not, not everybody wants to make money. But
there is potential in people who don’t want to make money.

Now, yes I agree with you the internet marketing game is a hard one, but with careful
planning and repetitive self analysis and most important operating a constant S.W.O.T.
procedure on your business and its activities will strengthen its creativity and eventual
    exposure to the world.

When selling, advertising and marketing your business and its items, products and services
come out of your business as the owner and look at it as the customer looking at it for
the first time. It is then that you will notice flaws if any in it and put you on a new
    quest to improve it.

Obviously, if you constantly do this before letting anyone know about it you will end up
doing nothing, so there has to be a time when you decide to let people know about it.

I have been in business for almost 2 years now and gone through many changes, so I know
and appreciate the time and energy that goes into formulating new ideas. The other hard part is sharing your idea with someone and getting them to understand it like you do. But you know yourself, no-one
can or will see the foresight and dream idea or the full potential that you do, why? well
it is because you had the initial excitement when the idea came to you and no-one can ever
or will feel that excitement until the same thing happens to them.

Hope the above and drawn out dialogue means something to you and if you wish to speak to
me personally. I live in the UK and live in dover in kent, I also don’t pay any
individual charges for land line calls as I am with NTL (cable). So if you fancy a chat
just let me know and I will email you my number.

When you get a chance have a look at what I am putting together, it is an idea that has
took nearly 10 years of research, experience and working in network marketing.
