Ultra Underachievers - A Review

I recently joined the Ultra Underachiever’s site run by Frank Kern and Ed Dale.

The investment for this was $297 per month and although it was a lot, I was hopeful that based on their reputation, it would be well worth it. I had seen the same offer the previous year and skipped it but this time the publicity got the better of me. This itch just had to be scratched!

The site itself was OK, i.e. it was clearly laid out but it seemed updates were random and mainly revolved around Ed Dale producing videos on things like ‘You Tube’ and ‘My Space’ being big deals. I suspect that, over time, Ed will also go on to predict that eBay will be quite big, Amazon will sell lots of books and that someone called G Oogle will get into online search.

Most of the activity seemed to revolve around the member’s only ‘exclusive’ forum with a few active members pumping out a lot of posts. I likened the overall experience to being part of an expensive fan club.

Luckily, I saw the light, cancelled my membership and was pleased to receive a refund.

I’ve since had a conversation with another ‘Ultra’ who has also stepped down (as well as an associate of his).

This was a real shame as I sure that Ed and Frank have genuinely set out to help people. I’m not sure where they got the price from but, IMHO, it was certainly nowhere near worth it. In an era where online prices seems to have got into ’stupid money’, I still think you need to have something that gives its members at least that much value. Seemingly making it up as you go, is not $300 per month!

For buyers, I think the hardest part is seeing beyond the gloss. Online this is doubly hard as it is easy to create a feeling of value simply by the use of graphics, audio and video. I guess my main piece of advice here is to resist the urge to jump in. Try and find a genuine testimonial.

I can see your point to a certain degree, although I guess the real value is from a coaching perspective, these guys are the real deal and to have them there to help out when you hit a wall is worth the money alone.
