Google Gives A Clue - Quality Score For AdWords

Filed under: Affiliate Marketing, Google AdWords; Author: Adrian; Posted: February 21, 2007 at 10:07 am;

As an affiliate, using Google AdWords is, in my opinion, a great thing but can also bring with it frustration and a huge bill if not used carefully.

One of the biggest issues of late has been the infamous quality score. This is Google’s view of the quality (relevance) of your keyword in conjunction to what the searcher is looking for and where you’re taking them, i.e. your landing page.

Now Google has done everyone a favour (favor) by adding the quality score to your account.

It defines a keyword as: Great, OK or Poor. Nice and simple!

To get this data:

1. Login to your Adwords account.
2. Select a Campaign
3. Select an Adgroup.
4: Above the keywords, hit the link that says “Customise Columns”
5: From the drop-down menu, select “Show Quality Score.”

If you see lots of ‘poor’… take action!
