Free Google Resources

A compilation of tools and resources for Google research.

The following are free resources you can find online to carry out research for Google. This could be for keyword research, search engine marketing or setting up an AdWords campaign. I hope you find them useful.

GoogSpy

Another great tool for checking out the competition and what they are doing in the marketplace to sell their own products and, of course affiliate products, using Google AdWords.

This site has a search engine interface that lets you type in your search terms. It will then compile a list of sites. You can pick one of the sites from the list and it returns the keywords they are bidding on and some rankings in Google.

From here, you should then be able to identify keywords that are ripe for using in either your Pay Per Click campaign and / or search engine marketing efforts for your affiliate site. Of course, this doesn't replace the wonderful Wordtracker, but it's certainly another useful weapon to have in your affiliate armoury.

Google Rankings

A brilliant site that allows you to enter the domain or URL of your website to see which are the words and phrases it uses most, and see a detailed report on their numbers and density. From here you can analyse your site to see the key phrases that Google would think your site is about. You may get one or two surprises! You can also run a position report to see where you rank.
