A selection of professional RSS software programs to
help you benefit from adding RSS feeds to your website.
What Is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication
and is a way that you can take data from one source, for
example a news site, and add the content to your site.
What are the benefits of RSS?
The are many reasons why you may want to add an RSS feed to
your site but for starters, consider the following:
 |
Your visitors experience is greatly enhanced by
fresh, relevant content |
 |
The maintenance burden of updating your site is
greatly reduced |
 |
Your site may benefit from a great prominence in
the search engines |

It adds to the overall professionalism of your

RSS Software
Obviously there are many tools out there to help with RSS
reading and syndication. The software I've listed below is
aimed at affiliates and anyone with an interesting in marketing
their website.
RSS2Blog is a server based application
that can be configured to automatically post RSS feeds or
news items directly to your blog. More than that though, you
can add text items, for example, Articles, and it will post
them to a schedule that you set. It's fantastic! You
install it once on your server but it can be
configured to work with any number of your blogs. If
blogging is a key part of your marketing strategy, then this
be one of the first weapons in your arsenal.
RSS Content Builder is from the same
development team as RSS2Blog and, not unsurprisingly, it
shares the same clean interface and is very easy to use. To
get the maximum benefit, I use a PHP include snippet of code
with ensures it is search engine friendly.
Associate Feed Generator is a truly
awesome application for Amazon Affiliates. This program is
installed on your computer and allows you to generate
keyword targeted RSS feeds from the Amazon marketplace. Used
in conjunction with RSS Content Builder (above), you can
quickly and easily add any product from Amazon to any web
page using the keywords you choose.
PowerRSS is a great piece of kit. As well
as the usual benefits of using RSS feeds it also has an
automated archive system. In simple terms, each day's news
page is stored on your site with a site map built/updated
without you lifting a finger. The feed is keyword targeted
so your site grows naturally with pages full of news items
related to your niche. You can even specify keywords that
link back to any page on your site so building your own
internal link structure... again, naturally and
automatically. Very good!
RSS Books
If you want to want to gain greater knowledge of RSS and the
benefits it can bring you, I can definitely recommend
